Nintendo's Latest Announcement: A LEGO Game Boy!
Nintendo and LEGO have teamed up again, this time creating a LEGO Game Boy! Launching October 2025, this follows the successful LEGO NES release.
While exciting news for fans, the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) has sparked a flurry of speculation about the Nintendo Switch 2. Many users humorously interpreted the LEGO Game Boy as a cryptic reveal of the next console.
Although Nintendo remains tight-lipped about the Switch 2, President Furukawa's May 7, 2024 statement promised a reveal within the current fiscal year (ending March). Fans will have to wait a little longer for official details.
Pricing for the LEGO Game Boy hasn't been announced, but further information is expected soon.
Previous Nintendo/LEGO Collaborations

Last May 2024 saw the release of a 2,500-piece LEGO set depicting the Great Deku Tree from Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild, complete with Zelda and the Master Sword. This set retails for $299.99 USD.
Two months later, a Super Mario World set featuring a sprite-based Mario riding Yoshi with a moving crank mechanism was released at $129.99 USD.
