Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack: Four Classic SNES Games Arrive
Action, Racing, Puzzles, and Dodgeball!
Prepare for a nostalgic trip back to the early 90s! Nintendo has unveiled four Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) games joining the ever-growing Nintendo Switch Online library. This diverse selection caters to various tastes, offering beat 'em up action, intense racing, challenging puzzles, and even a unique dodgeball experience.
First up, the iconic crossover: Battletoads/Double Dragon. This legendary mashup unites the brawling Battletoads and the martial arts prowess of the Double Dragon brothers in a fight against the Dark Queen and her Shadow Warriors. Choose from five playable characters – Billy and Jimmy Lee (Double Dragon) and Zitz, Pimple, and Rash (Battletoads).
Originally released on NES in June 1993 and ported to SNES later that year, this marks a long-awaited re-release for this classic title.
Next, get ready for some dodgeball mayhem with Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shūgō! (known as Super Dodgeball in the West). Featuring Kunio-kun from the River City Ransom series, this game challenges players to dominate the dodgeball court against global rivals. Various playing fields, from indoor arenas to outdoor beaches, each boast unique challenges.

Puzzle enthusiasts will appreciate Cosmo Gang the Puzzle. Similar to Tetris and Puyo Puyo, players strategically clear lines of containers and Cosmos to score points. Three modes are available: 1P Mode (solo high score challenge), VS Mode (head-to-head competition), and 100 Stage Mode (increasingly difficult puzzles). Line up containers horizontally and utilize descending blue orbs to remove Cosmos.
Initially an arcade release in 1992, it later appeared on Super Famicom and various other platforms, including the Wii, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.
