A The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild speedrunner achieved a remarkable feat at the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience in Japan, completing the critically acclaimed RPG within a stringent 10-minute playtime limit.
As reported by VGC, the Japanese content creator Ikaboze tackled the challenge using an existing save file, unaware of the equipment Link possessed. Choosing to "defeat the final boss while tied up completely naked and with all my equipment removed," Ikaboze loaded a save that brought him directly to the final confrontation with Ganon. In just seven minutes, Ganon was vanquished, prompting spontaneous applause from onlookers.

This accomplishment was all the more impressive as Ikaboze navigated the unfamiliar controller and could not hear the game's audio over the convention hall's noise.
“I was surprised by how many people had gathered,” Ikaboze remarked. “Even the staff were filming on their smartphones. This was the first time anyone had completed the Breath of the Wild demo, and the staff congratulated me."
The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild boasts improved visuals and performance, achievements, and integration with the new "Zelda Notes" service within the Nintendo Switch Online app. Owners of the original Switch version can access these enhancements through a $10 "upgrade pack." Both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom upgrade packs are available at no additional cost to Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack subscribers.
