In *NieR: Automata*, while some materials are more abundant than others, the demand for these resources can be immense, particularly when upgrading multiple weapons. One such frequently needed resource is Dented Plates, which are essential for various upgrades and often required in large quantities. Although Dented Plates are relatively common, knowing the best spots to farm them can save you a lot of time and effort.
Where To Farm Dented Plates In NieR: Automata
Dented Plates are most commonly dropped by the following machines:
- Small Biped (All Variants)
- Small Flyer (All Variants)
- Small Sphere (All Variants)
These basic enemies are among the most frequently encountered throughout your playthrough, regardless of the chapter or route you're revisiting. However, simply respawning enemies through fast travel or roaming around isn't the most efficient way to gather materials. For the best farming spot for Dented Plates, head to the pit where you first battled Adam during the storyline.
Fast-travel to the Desert: Housing Complex access point, then navigate deeper into the ruins until you reach the pit. Here, machines will continuously spawn as you eliminate them, with numerous Small Bipeds being the most common adversary. Even if these enemies are at a lower level when you're farming, they still have a decent drop rate for Dented Plates. This location is also ideal for farming Titanium Alloy if you need that as well.
If you prefer a more dynamic farming experience, consider exploring the Forest Kingdom. This area is filled with groups of Bipeds that form spear-wielding phalanxes, often dropping at least one Dented Plate. Traversing the forest also increases your chances of encountering wildlife, which is perfect for obtaining Beast Hide. Additionally, higher-level Bipeds have an increased chance of dropping Dented Plates, so progressing through the story not only exposes you to more Bipeds but also to higher-level ones, thereby improving your odds of obtaining these essential materials.
To enhance your farming efficiency, consider equipping drop-rate up plug-in chips, but be cautious not to die and lose these valuable chips permanently.
