Netmarble's popular action RPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is set to conclude its run on October 30th, 2024. This announcement, recently posted on Netmarble's official forums, marks the end of a six-year journey for the title. The in-game store has already been closed, effective June 26th, 2024.

The reasons behind the closure remain somewhat unclear. While developers hinted at a potential shortage of characters to adapt from the extensive King of Fighters franchise, performance issues, including optimization problems and frequent crashes, likely contributed to the decision. Despite these challenges, the game enjoyed considerable success, accumulating millions of downloads across Google Play and the App Store.
