Before You Get a Mount

- Have a tamed Pet: Taming a pet isn't tough. You'll get a quest that teaches you how, but here's the gist: Find an animal you want to tame (Deer, Wolf, Spider, etc.), attack it once, then hold a food item it likes (Apples for Deers, Raw Deer Meat for Wolves). If a heart appears and grows above their heads, you're on the right track. A fully grown heart means the animal is now your pet. If the heart turns black, don't fret—just try another animal.
Once you've got your pet and hit level 20, you're ready for the next step.
Finish the Mount Quest
At level 20, head to **Jimmy the Stable Master in Wayshire**. He'll offer you a quest called "Jimmy's Delivery," where you need to deliver a package to the Stable Master in Ashenshire. Accept the quest and head north through Wayshire's northern entrance. Follow the road, climb over the hill into **Greatwood Forest**, and keep going north until you reach **Ashenshire**. You'll know you're there when you see houses perched on large trees.
Find a rope to climb up to Ashenshire, and the first NPC you'll see is **Madonna the Stable Master**. Speak to her and select "I have a package for you." After handing over the package, head back to Wayshire by retracing your steps southward.
Upon returning, **talk to Jimmy the Stable Master** again (he'll have an exclamation mark above his head). He'll reward you with a **Saddle**, which won't appear in your inventory to prevent accidental loss.
How to Mount Your Pet in Rune Slayer
With the saddle secured, **summon your pet by holding "T"**. Approach your pet, and you'll see the "Mount" option. Press "E" to mount your pet, and you're ready to travel at high speeds across *Rune Slayer*. This method works for all mountable pets.
