Morikomori Life has officially launched on Android and iOS, but currently, it's only available in Japan. The game is being published by Realfun Studio, marking a shift from its previous release in China by Level Infinite under Tencent Games. Unfortunately, the Chinese version was discontinued about a year ago.
The Rural Farm Life Sim Is Back
One of the standout features of Morikomori Life is its stunning visuals. The developers have masterfully captured the essence of a cozy, rural life through anime-inspired, specifically Ghibli-style art. This isn't just any generic animation; it genuinely feels like scenes lifted directly from a Studio Ghibli film.
In the game, you step into the shoes of Kaon, a young Japanese girl who receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother, inviting her to visit the village of Komori, where she spent her childhood. The journey back to Komori is about rediscovering the joys of a peaceful life. The 3D toon shading beautifully enhances the warmth of the Japanese landscapes, making them feel inviting and reminiscent of the real countryside.

Morikomori Life Lets You Experience Slow-Paced Living
Morikomori Life focuses on the beauty of a slow-paced, slice-of-life experience. You'll engage in activities such as farming, cooking, fishing, hunting, and even constructing your own home. Explore the environment to chop wood, mine for ore, and discover rare materials.
As you gather resources, you'll unlock opportunities to upgrade your house and enrich your lifestyle. You can personalize Kaon's appearance to match your style, interact with new friends in the village, create meals from foraged ingredients, and assist villagers with various tasks.
The game offers character customization to reflect your personality and includes an open-world aspect that encourages exploration and the discovery of delightful surprises.
Currently, Morikomori Life is available on Android in Japan. If you're in the region, you can download it from the Google Play Store. There's no confirmation yet on a global release.
