The phenomenal success of *Monster Hunter Wilds* continues unabated, as it has now surpassed the 10 million sales mark, setting a new record for Capcom. This achievement marks the highest first-month sales in the company’s history, eclipsing all previous records. Remarkably, *Wilds* had already become Capcom's fastest-selling game ever, reaching 8 million copies sold in just three days.
In a statement to the press, Capcom attributed the unprecedented success of *Monster Hunter Wilds* to several key factors. Notably, the game introduced crossplay for the first time in the series and launched simultaneously across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, unlike *Monster Hunter World*, which had a delayed PC release. Capcom stated, "The title provides an environment where a wider range of players can enjoy the game together with the introduction of crossplay, a first for the series, and a simultaneous release on PlayStation 5 system, Xbox Series X|S, and PC."
Further contributing to its appeal, Capcom highlighted the new Focus Mode mechanic and seamless movement between settlements and ecosystems, which have significantly enhanced the immersive gaming experience. The fusion of these new elements with the established allure of the *Monster Hunter* series has generated immense excitement, propelling *Wilds* to achieve over 10 million units sold in its first month.
Looking ahead, *Monster Hunter Wilds* is set to receive continuous updates, with Title Update 1 scheduled for April 4. This update will introduce a fan-favorite monster and the Grand Hub, a new in-game settlement designed for player interaction. Title Update 2, slated for the summer, will feature the return of Lagiacrus. For more details, check out IGN's comprehensive coverage of the *Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 showcase*.

The *Monster Hunter* series made a significant impact in the West with the release of *World* in 2018, which remains Capcom's best-selling game with 21.3 million units sold. However, with the current trajectory, it seems likely that *Wilds* will eventually surpass this figure.
