Monster Hunter Now is buzzing with excitement as Niantic introduces a new feature called Monster Outbreaks. This innovative addition is currently in its testing phase, where player feedback will be crucial in refining it before a full rollout.
When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?
The testing for Monster Outbreaks will take place from April 26th to 27th. Each day, there will be two testing sessions: one from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and another from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., both in local time. During these periods, specific locations on the map, known as outbreak points, will see a surge of 8-star Black Diablos. The challenge is for players to collaborate and take down 100 of these formidable creatures at each outbreak point within the one-hour window.
To participate, hunters must have reached at least HR 11. Notably, the party feature is disabled during this event, so only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal. Outbreak points are easily identifiable on the map with a unique icon, and by tapping on them, players can access more details. Additionally, a sign-up roster at each location allows hunters to coordinate their participation times.
Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!
The mechanics of this event are fascinating. If you team up with three other hunters and successfully take down a Black Diablos, that counts as four towards the target of 100. Should your group reach the 100-monster mark before the session ends, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour.
Rewards await those who meet the challenge. Achieving the goal of 100 Black Diablos will grant each participant 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, using the sign-up roster can earn you a special Outbreak Test I Medal.
