Monster Hunter Now's Season 5: The Blossoming Blade is almost here! Niantic has unveiled all the exciting details for the upcoming season, launching March 6th, 2025. Get ready for new monsters, weapons, a revamped Season Pass, and thrilling challenges.
Pre-Season Arrival: A Sneak Peek
Before Season 5 officially begins, players can encounter the Chatacabra starting February 28th! This marks its debut before its appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. The season launch will also introduce Glavenus and Arzuros to the game's roster.
Weapon Enhancements and Balance Adjustments
Expect significant weapon balance changes designed to enhance gameplay and make each weapon type more enjoyable. The Sword & Shield receives a buff, improving its ability to target breakable parts, such as tails. The Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will now reward precise timing with increased power and more satisfying combos.
The Guard skill is also receiving a much-needed upgrade. Previously, leveling Guard provided minimal benefit, but now higher skill levels will noticeably reduce damage taken while blocking. Further details on additional weapon tweaks will be included in the full patch notes released on March 6th.
More Season 5 Highlights
A persistent problem for many players—inventory overflow—is addressed with the introduction of an Item Box Expansion available as a Supply Item. This expansion adds 250 extra inventory slots.
Celebrating Monster Hunter Now's 1.5-Year Anniversary on March 17th, a new material trading feature will be implemented. Hunters can exchange special materials earned from hunts and events for valuable rewards such as Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards.
