NetherRealm and WB Games have recently unveiled the official gameplay trailer for T-1000, set to join the roster of Mortal Kombat 1 next Tuesday. This character stands out due to his unique ability to transform into liquid metal, enabling him to creatively dodge projectiles. T-1000 is poised to become a fan favorite, particularly among those who enjoyed playing as Kabal in previous games. Although Kabal isn't featured in Mortal Kombat 1, his signature weapons and moves have been integrated into the game, enhancing its appeal.
The trailer also pays homage to the iconic film Terminator 2: Judgment Day with several notable references. One such reference recreates the memorable scene where T-1000 wags his finger—a gesture famously banned in the NBA for being unsportsmanlike conduct. Additionally, T-1000 interacts with Johnny Cage, asking if he has seen John Connor, further enriching the cinematic experience.
Alongside T-1000, the trailer introduced Madam Bo, who will also be added to the game. T-1000's Fatality showcases his liquid metal transformation, allowing him to change his appearance and replace his victim, embodying the efficient nature of his mission.
No further announcements were made by WB Games. Rumors are circulating that this might be the final wave of new content for Mortal Kombat 1, with speculations of a new game announcement on the horizon. However, there is no confirmation of these rumors yet.
