Metaphor: ReFantazio's expansive party: A guide to when each member joins your adventure.
Beyond the protagonist, seven companions will join your quest in Metaphor: ReFantazio, each contributing unique combat skills. While Gallica is present from the outset, her combat role differs from the others.
Spoiler Alert: This guide reveals the precise days each party member joins your team. Knowing this information might lessen the surprise for some players.
Each party member's arrival is tied to specific story events. Interestingly, while some join immediately ready for battle, others require an "awakening" before becoming fully integrated into your combat party. Once a party member awakens to their Archetype, that Archetype becomes usable by any other member. Initially, some characters join but are initially AI-controlled.
Party Member Arrival Dates:

Strohl (Warrior): Joins on June 5th during the Border Fort events. Awakens and becomes fully controllable on June 6th at the Nord Mines.

Grius: Joins after the Border Fort events but is combat-ready on June 6th, after Strohl's awakening. While he won't undergo the same awakening process as other members, he becomes a fully controllable party member.

Hulkenberg (Knight): Begins interacting with the party on June 10th. Full party integration and awakening occur during the boss fight on June 11th.

Heismay (Thief): First encountered during free time in Martira. Awakens and joins the party on July 4th, within the town's main dungeon.

Junah (Masked Dancer): Appears throughout the game but joins your party upon her awakening on August 13th.

Eupha (Summoner): Her arrival is flexible. She joins after completing the Dragon Temple Dungeon during free time on Viraga Island (August 19th - September 4th). The day of dungeon completion dictates her joining date for the final boss fight. Her Bond, however, is only accessible after this period concludes.

Basilio (Berserker): Awakens and joins during the Saint's Day events on September 11th. Full combat availability, however, depends on player choices and is unlocked the following day.
