Meta VR Headset Sales Halt: Quest Pro Discontinued

The Meta Quest Pro has officially been discontinued. Meta's website now reflects its unavailability. This follows earlier announcements predicting the end of the product line by early 2025. The high price point of $1499.99, significantly more than the standard Meta Quest models ($299.99-$499.99), hindered its market penetration and led to its discontinuation.

While some remaining units might exist in retail stores, the Meta Quest 3 is presented as the ideal replacement, offering a superior mixed reality experience at a lower cost. The Quest 3 boasts enhanced specifications: higher resolution, refresh rate, and a more powerful processor, all while being lighter than its predecessor. Furthermore, the Quest Pro's Touch Pro controllers are compatible with the Quest 3.

For budget-conscious consumers, the Meta Quest 2S provides a more affordable alternative, albeit with slightly reduced specifications, starting at $299.99 compared to the Quest 3's $499.99 price tag.
