Marvel Rivals Season 1: Free Skins, New Characters, and Villainous Makeovers!
NetEase Games' Marvel Rivals kicks off Season 1: Eternal Night Falls with a surprise gift for players: free Peni Parker and Scarlet Witch skins! Dracula's attack on New York City sets the stage, forcing the Fantastic Four to defend the city, beginning January 10th and lasting until April 11th, 2025.
This season introduces the Fantastic Four to the game's roster. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman are available at launch, with Human Torch and The Thing arriving in a mid-season update (rumored to be a Duelist and Vanguard, respectively).
Players can earn free cosmetic rewards, including the Peni Parker's Blue Tarantula and Scarlet Witch's Emporium Matron skins, by completing in-game quests and earning Chrono Tokens. These skins are accessible within the free battle pass tiers. While a premium battle pass (990 Lattice, approximately $10) unlocks additional rewards, including a Scarlet Witch MVP animation, the core skins are free for all. Peni Parker's skin is on page three, featuring a striking sky blue and white design. Scarlet Witch's crimson and purple Emporium Matron skin is found on page nine, complete with a unique cosmic animation. A free Scarlet Witch emote is also available, but the MVP animation requires the premium pass. A separate Midnight Features event offers a free Thor skin through quest completion.
Beyond the free rewards, the in-game shop features new villainous skins for Invisible Woman (Malice) and Mister Fantastic (The Maker). Invisible Woman's skin boasts a black and red design with edgy accents, while Mister Fantastic's is a sleek dark gray and blue with a masked appearance. The abundance of new content has generated significant excitement among Marvel Rivals players.
