Marvel Contest of Champions launches Dark Phoenix Saga with new Eidolon

Kabam is rolling out significant updates to Marvel Contest of Champions, including the launch of the Dark Phoenix Saga, new Champion arrivals, and the introduction of an entirely new character class called Eidols. March also celebrates the game's formidable female characters while giving players voting power to shape an upcoming Champion overhaul.

The Contest welcomes powerful new challengers Jean Grey and Bastion, bringing fresh combat dynamics alongside an immersive new narrative. Players can recruit Jean Grey starting March 13th, with Bastion joining the roster on the 27th. The action begins earlier on March 3rd with the Dark Phoenix Saga quest, where Jean Grey and the X-Men face off against dangerous variants.

Marvel Contest of Champions' lore continues expanding with additional Eidols advancing the Founders' storyline. After Isophyne's debut in December 2024, three more Eidols will join throughout 2025, each with unique acquisition methods. The next arrival, Lumatrix, appears on March 5th and remains available until June 4th.

The Founders designed Lumatrix as the ultimate covert operative, specializing in espionage, sabotage, and precision eliminations. Composed of ISO-8 crystals, this deceptive combatant wields masterful light manipulation. While appearing as a radiant entertainer, Lumatrix conceals its true nature as a lethal weapon operating undetected in plain sight.

March's celebration honors The Contest's mightiest female warriors. Kabam has collaborated with seven women developers and content creators, each championing a different character from the roster. Through completing Solo Objectives and Realm Events, players will collectively determine which Champion receives gameplay enhancements in 2025.
