Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 Arrives January 28th
Treyarch has officially announced the launch date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2: Tuesday, January 28th. This marks the end of Season 1, a remarkably long 75-day run, making it one of the longest seasons in Call of Duty history.
While specifics on Season 2's content remain under wraps, anticipation is high. The first season delivered a huge amount of new content, including maps, modes, weapons, and events, significantly impacting Warzone with its integration and new features like Area-99. The success of Black Ops 6, boasting record player numbers in its first month, has recently seen a dip, attributed to issues like cheating in Ranked Play and server problems. Season 2 is expected to address these concerns and revitalize the game.
Season 2 Release Date Confirmed
The Season 2 launch date was revealed in a recent update addressing Zombies issues. While the January 9th patch couldn't include all planned fixes, Treyarch confirmed the remaining updates would arrive with Season 2 on January 28th. A detailed blog post outlining the new season's features is anticipated soon.
Season 1's success included the return of popular maps like Nuketown and Hacienda. While details are scarce, Treyarch has hinted at more classic map remasters for Season 2, though they've also emphasized their commitment to original content. Associate Creative Director Miles Leslie previously stated that no Black Ops map is excluded from potential remasters, but that original map creation remains a priority.
