When discussing iconic female characters in fighting games, three names immediately come to mind: Nina Williams, Chun-Li, and Mai Shiranui. While fans enjoyed seeing Nina and Chun-Li clash in Street Fighter x Tekken, we won't be seeing their interaction again anytime soon. However, the same can't be said for Mai Shiranui, who is set to join Street Fighter 6 as a new guest character. It's no coincidence that the developers chose to pit Mai against Chun-Li in her gameplay trailer, creating a highly anticipated matchup.
Mai's trailer showcases several of her signature moves, and her super move looks absolutely stunning. We're confident that Mai will become a fan-favorite in Street Fighter 6. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait a bit longer to play as her, as Capcom has announced her release date for February 5, rather than January. This means a wait of three more weeks.
While we wait for Mai's arrival, we hope the Street Fighter 6 team will keep us engaged with more exciting content. This anticipation only adds to the excitement surrounding Mai Shiranui's debut in the game.
