Mario & Luigi: Brothership (2024)
Though not a solo Luigi title, Mario & Luigi: Brothership showcases both brothers equally. It's the first new entry in the Mario & Luigi series since Paper Jam in 2014. Players control both Mario and Luigi as they navigate puzzles and platforming challenges to restore the kingdom of Concordia.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (2017)
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was the first Switch game to feature Luigi as a playable character. As a middleweight racer, he boasts a well-balanced stat distribution with a slight edge in speed and handling. His iconic appearance in an ad for the original Wii U version led to the famous Luigi Death Stare meme.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (2017)
Luigi joined forces with Rabbid Luigi in the tactical RPG Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. This Nintendo-Ubisoft collaboration allows players to choose both Luigi and his Rabbid counterpart as members of their party.
Mario Tennis Aces (2018)
In Mario Tennis Aces, Luigi serves as one of the 16 launch characters. Known for his balanced "all-around" skills in Mario sports games, Luigi's specialty shot, Pipe Cannon, propels him into the air for a powerful spike.
Super Mario Party (2018)
Luigi is one of the 20 playable characters in Super Mario Party, marking his presence in every Mario Party game, including subsequent releases on the Switch. This game was the first in the series for the Switch and ranks as Nintendo's ninth best-selling title on the platform, according to the company.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (2018)
As an unlockable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Luigi has been a staple in all five Smash games. According to LumiRank’s 2025 tier list, he's considered an A+-tier fighter and ranks 18th overall among 93 ranked Smash players.
New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe (2019)
Luigi is a playable character in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, an enhanced version of the Wii U game that includes the New Super Luigi U expansion. Here, Luigi stars with his unique higher jump, remixed levels, and a challenging 100-second timer per level.
Super Mario Maker 2 (2019)
In Super Mario Maker 2, Luigi joins Mario, Toad, and Toadette as one of the four playable characters. Players can craft their own Mario levels using assets from various Mario games, adding a creative twist to the platforming experience.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury (2021)

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope (2022)
