LEGO has unveiled an exciting lineup of nine new Star Wars sets, all set to hit the shelves on May 1, 2025. This launch is part of Disney's comprehensive celebration of May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day. LEGO traditionally marks this occasion by releasing a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In 2023, fans were treated to Luke's X-Wing Starfighter, and in 2024, the TIE Interceptor was the star of the show.
This year, LEGO enthusiasts can look forward to Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously known as Slave I among long-time Star Wars fans. It's worth noting that the name was officially changed to Firespray Starship in 2021, following a request from Disney due to concerns about the term 'slave.' This change has now become a permanent fixture in LEGO's Star Wars lineup.

The latest iteration of this iconic starship is a significant upgrade from its last 'large' version released in 2019, which commemorated the 20th anniversary with 1007 pieces and was based on its appearance in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new LEGO Jango Fett's Firespray-Class Starship, with 2970 pieces, captures its look from Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. Boasting nearly three times the number of pieces as its predecessor, this model measures an impressive 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
