LEGO enthusiasts and Jurassic World fans, get ready for an impressive addition to your collection! LEGO has just unveiled its largest Jurassic World set to date: a colossal T-rex skeleton that spans over three feet in length. This remarkable set includes minifigures of Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant, iconic characters from the original Jurassic Park film, where the skeleton famously features in the visitor center. Priced at $249.99, this set will be available starting March 12 for LEGO Insiders (sign up for free here) and March 15 for the general public at the LEGO Store.
LEGO Jurassic World Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus Rex
Release Date: March 15 (March 12 for Insiders)
Price: $249.99
Pieces: 3,145
Ages: 18+
Dimensions: L: 105cm (41.3in) / H: 33cm (12.9in)
This set is composed of 3,145 pieces and is targeted at builders aged 18 and above, making it an ideal display piece rather than a play set. It features advanced building techniques that may challenge younger builders. It's difficult to fully appreciate the scale of this set from images alone, but the inclusion of Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler minifigures helps put things into perspective. Once assembled, the skeleton stretches over three feet, with a skull that closely resembles the already available LEGO T-rex skull set, which I can attest looks fantastic, as my son has built it. The full skeleton enhances the overall impact of the set significantly.

The T-rex skeleton boasts articulated joints, allowing you to pose the model in various dynamic positions. The head and jaw can be moved, and the arms and tail are adjustable. Like many LEGO sets inspired by films, this one is packed with hidden Easter eggs to discover during the building process. The set also includes a display stand and an informational plaque detailing the T-rex's diet, habitat, and more.

While the LEGO Jurassic World series may not yet match the size of LEGO's Star Wars or Harry Potter collections, it's rapidly expanding. As a fan, I'm excited to see more sophisticated sets like this T-rex skeleton designed for adult builders in the future.
