In the main quest "For Whom the Bell Tolls" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, Hans requires your assistance once more, this time at Trosky Castle. Your first task is to harness the power of alchemy to save someone by crafting Fever Tonic. Here's a detailed guide on how to locate the recipe and brew the Fever Tonic.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Fever Tonic Recipe Location
If sneaking isn't your style, you can progress through the "For Whom the Bell Tolls" quest by delivering the horseshoe. After completing this task, return to the forge and speak with Cook Fanka. Offer to help her with her locked chest, and she will lead you to the noble's kitchen. Upon entering, you'll notice the chamberlain suffering from pain. Engage him in conversation about his health and attempt to pass the skill checks to convince him of your ability to help. Successfully doing so will grant you access to the Surgeon's Workshop. If you also craft a digestive potion alongside the Fever Tonic and return it to the chamberlain, he will allow you to meet Thomas.
How to Brew Fever Tonic
- Pour wine into the cauldron.
- Add 3 handfuls of Feverfew.
- Lower the cauldron and boil for 2 turns of the sandglass.
- Grind a handful of Elderberry Leaves using the mortar and pestle.
- Add the ground Elderberry Leaves to the mixture.
- Add 2 handfuls of Ginger.
- Retrieve a phial from the bottom left shelf of the station, located under the wine.
- Distill the tonic using the Still.
Don't worry if you don't succeed on your first attempt; you have ample herbs to work with, and there are more in the chest within the room. Given your prior experience with potion-making, crafting the Fever Tonic should be manageable.
With the Fever Tonic in hand, your next step is to reach Thomas. If you've earned the chamberlain's trust by crafting a digestive potion, return to him with both potions. Otherwise, use the noble's kitchen to sneak up to the chapel where you'll find Thomas and his sister, Adele. Converse with Adele to complete the quest.
