The PC version of Stellar Blade is set to launch on Steam on June 11, accompanied by a suite of PC-specific features, as revealed by a trailer that Sony accidentally published on the PlayStation YouTube channel before removing it. The internet quickly captured the trailer, which is expected to be officially released soon.
The trailer also unveiled the Stellar Blade Complete Edition, which includes the base game and all the DLC released to date for both PS5 and PC. This news comes more than a year after the successful April 2024 launch of Stellar Blade on PS5.
On PC, Stellar Blade will feature all the enhancements you'd expect, including AI upscaling with Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, an unlocked framerate, Japanese and Chinese voiceover options, ultrawide display support, higher resolution environment textures, and DualSense support for haptic feedback and trigger effects.
The trailer also teased a new boss battle against Mann, Leader of the Sentinels, and introduced 25 new costumes, which are expected to be available on PS5 as well. Additionally, a new scene at the end of the trailer shows Eve releasing a memory stick, sparking speculation about a new ending or potential DLC for the game.
Stellar Blade was a significant success for Korean developer Shift Up, generating $43 million in royalties in its last financial year. The company anticipates that the PC version will surpass the sales of the PS5 version, which sold over 1 million copies within two months. Shift Up is also considering developing another game in the franchise.
In Stellar Blade, players assume the role of Eve, fighting against unknown invaders to reclaim Earth in a fast-paced action role-playing game. The game received a 7/10 rating from IGN, quickly selling a million copies despite some criticism. "Stellar Blade is great in all of the most important ways for an action game, but dull characters, a lackluster story, and several frustrating elements of its RPG mechanics prevent it from soaring along with the best of the genre," the review stated.
