KonoSuba: Fantastic Days to Conclude Service in January 2025
The popular mobile RPG, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, developed by Sesisoft, will cease operations on January 30th, 2025. Both the global and Japanese servers will shut down simultaneously, ending a nearly five-year run.
Despite the closure, developers are planning a limited offline version, preserving the main storyline, key quests, and significant events for players to revisit. Details regarding this offline version remain scarce.
In-app purchases were disabled on October 31st, 2024. However, existing in-game Quartz and items remain usable until the service ends. Players who qualify for refunds on unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024 can submit requests until January 30th, 2025. Official channels will close on February 28th, 2025.
Launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game adaptation of the KonoSuba franchise. The game's charming narrative, appealing visuals, and visual novel-style story mode were well-received. However, like many gacha RPGs, it ultimately faced closure, likely due to factors such as declining player engagement or rising production costs.
