The global servers for KonoSuba: Fantastic Days have officially shut down, marking the end of a 3.5-year run. This follows the Japanese version's five-year lifespan. While a relatively short run for a gacha game, especially considering declining revenue, the developers, Sumzap (originally published by Nexon, later Sesisoft), maintained active support until the very end.
Game's Lifespan and Final Events:
The game enjoyed a respectable run, featuring voiced story updates and a final song release just three weeks prior to closure. A farewell livestream in December included Kazuma's voice actor. The Japanese version even went the extra mile by archiving the entire main story on its YouTube channel, allowing players to revisit the game's content.
Global Server Closure and Future Access:
Unfortunately, the global version lacks an offline mode or dedicated YouTube archive. However, fans can still access the Japanese YouTube channel for complete story access. The developers have shifted their focus to the Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade gacha game.
