Marvel has unveiled the much-anticipated trailer for Ironheart, the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) on Disney+. This upcoming series sees Dominique Thorne back in action as the armored superhero Riri Williams, whom fans first met in 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Alongside her, Anthony Ramos steps into the role of Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. The trailer offers a glimpse into what fans can expect from this mini-series, spotlighting Riri's transformation into a standalone superhero after her initial supporting role in the MCU.
The trailer, which you can watch below, teases the dynamic between Riri and The Hood. Initially, Parker Robbins appears to be a mentor figure, helping Riri unlock her full potential. However, the trailer hints at deeper, more complex motives behind his actions.
Ironheart, executive produced by Ryan Coogler, is set to premiere with a three-episode launch on June 24 at 6pm PT/9pm ET on Disney+. The series delves into Riri's journey post-Wakanda Forever, where she humorously refers to her experience as an "internship abroad." After being expelled from MIT, she faces a pivotal decision influenced by The Hood, who challenges her with the notion that success often requires moral compromises.
The trailer showcases thrilling action sequences, including Riri donning her Ironheart suit, soaring through the skies, and engaging in combat, culminating in a dramatic scene where she punches a truck, sending it flying overhead.
