Master the art of dual outfitting in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered! This guide details how to combine the benefits of two outfits, enhancing your gameplay experience.
Remastered Version Required
This dual outfitting technique is exclusive to Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. The Remastered edition's transmog feature is key; it lets you visually wear one outfit while retaining the stats and effects of another.
Outfit Requirements
This method requires one freely chosen outfit and one of the following Banuk Werak outfits from the Frozen Wilds DLC:
- Banuk Werak Runner
- Banuk Werak Chieftain
- Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (New Game Plus only)
Access to the Frozen Wilds DLC is necessary, but completing the main game isn't required.
Acquiring Banuk Werak Outfits
Banuk Werak Runner: After reaching the Frozen Wilds (by defeating the new machine), find a Bluegleam Merchant (marked with a blue merchant icon) and purchase the outfit. Resource costs vary by difficulty:
Resource | Normal Cost | Ultra Hard Cost |
---|---|---|
Metal Shards | 1000 | 5000 |
Desert Glass | 10 | 20 |
Slagshine Glass | 10 | 20 |
Banuk Werak Chieftain & Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept: Complete the "For the Werak" quest (the third main quest in Frozen Wilds). Consider lowering the difficulty if needed. The Adept version is only available in New Game Plus.
Combining Outfit Effects
Here's how to leverage both outfits:
- Equip your primary outfit: Choose the outfit with the desired stats (remember you can enhance stats with Weaves).
- Use Transmog: Apply the appearance of one of the three Banuk Werak outfits via the transmog feature.
This allows you to retain your primary outfit's stats while gaining the auto-healing effect of the Banuk Werak outfit. The Chieftain and Chieftain Adept offer significantly faster healing than the Runner. Combining this with a strong defensive outfit like the Shield Weaver makes you incredibly resilient.
