Arrowhead Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment are gearing up for the release of the Truth Enforcers Warbond, a premium content pack for Helldivers 2. This substantial update, launching October 31st, 2024, offers a significant arsenal expansion, allowing players to embody Super Earth's elite Truth Enforcers.
A New Arsenal of Truth
The Truth Enforcers Warbond operates similarly to a battle pass, utilizing earned Medals to unlock exclusive items. Unlike typical battle passes, these Warbonds are permanently accessible after purchase, offering players flexibility in unlocking content at their own pace. Available for 1,000 Super Credits via the Acquisitions Center, this Warbond delivers:
- PLAS-15 Loyalist Plasma Pistol: A versatile sidearm with semi-automatic and charged shot options.
- SMG-32 Reprimand: A rapid-fire submachine gun perfect for close-quarters combat.
- SG-20 Halt: A powerful shotgun utilizing stun rounds and armor-piercing flechettes.
- UF-16 Inspector Armor: Sleek, light armor with red accents and the "Proof of Faultless Virtue" cape. Features the Unflinching perk.
- UF-50 Bloodhound Armor: Medium armor, also with red accents and the "Pride of the Whistleblower" cape. Includes the Unflinching perk.
- New Banners, Patterns, and Emotes: Customize your Hellpods, exosuits, and Pelican-1. The "At Ease" emote adds a touch of official gravitas.
- Dead Sprint Booster: Maintain sprinting and diving even with depleted stamina, at the cost of health.
Addressing Player Base Concerns
Despite a strong initial launch with a peak of 458,709 concurrent Steam players (excluding PS5 players), Helldivers 2 has seen a player base reduction. This is largely attributed to initial account linking restrictions that impacted players in over 177 countries. While Sony reversed this decision, the game remains inaccessible in those regions. The current Steam concurrent player count is around 40,000.
