In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, your journey isn't complete just by slaying and capturing monsters. You'll also need to gather materials to forge your armor and weapons, and Lightcrystals are a key resource. Here's your guide to farming Lightcrystals effectively.
Monster Hunter Wilds Lightcrystal Farming Locations
Lightcrystals can be mined from Mining Outcrops scattered throughout *Monster Hunter Wilds*. Keep in mind that the drop rate is random, so patience is key. Here are the prime locations where you can find these outcrops:
- Windward Plains: Areas 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 17
- Oilwell Basin: Areas 4, 6, 7
- Iceshard Cliffs: Areas 8, 16
- Ruins of Wyveria: Area 5
After mining, Mining Outcrops will take about 15 to 20 minutes to respawn. Use this time to explore other areas and farm additional resources before returning to your Lightcrystal spots.
How to Use Lightcrystals
Once you've collected enough Lightcrystals, head back to Gemma at Base Camp in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. You can use these crystals to forge or upgrade a variety of weapons and armor. Here's a list of equipment that requires Lightcrystals:
