GOG resurrects the cult classic survival horror games, Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2, with DRM-free PC re-releases. Both titles, originally released on PlayStation, are now available via GOG's Preservation Program, ensuring the original content remains intact.
Capcom's 1999 release of Dino Crisis, followed by its sequel in 2000, sparked a dedicated fanbase. Despite calls for a new entry or HD remake, Capcom's focus on titles like Exoprimal seemingly ended hopes for a Dino Crisis revival. Further diminishing these hopes, creator Shinji Mikami cited Monster Hunter's popularity as a factor in the lack of a reboot or remake.
