MICA Team/Sunborn filed a patent application in China on July 7, 2023, which was subsequently approved on June 6, 2024. This patent secures exclusive rights to their unique object rendering technology, specifically designed for rendering silk stockings in games. The patented technique, known as the "silk stocking object rendering method and device," is currently implemented in *Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium*. According to Google Patents, this method bridges the gap between realistically rendered stockings and more cartoonish ones, enhancing the animation physics of the silk stockings.
Sunborn's rendering method achieves "the highlight feeling of real silk stockings," effectively avoiding the common pitfalls of making them appear metallic or plastic-like.
