New Ghost of Yōtei Trailer
Arriving October 2, 2025

PlayStation and Sucker Punch Productions have revealed the release date for Ghost of Tsushima's sequel, Ghost of Yōtei. On April 23, a new trailer titled "The Onryō’s List" was released, presenting the game’s narrative and showing off gameplay sequences. The trailer concludes by announcing the release date: October 2, 2025.
Ghost of Yōtei centers on Atsu’s journey through Ezo (modern-day Hokkaido), as she seeks vengeance against the Yōtei Six—a band of outlaws responsible for murdering her family and leaving her for dead. She is determined to hunt each member down one by one: The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito.
This standalone sequel is set 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima. Earlier this year, developers shared further insights into the game's expanded weapon options, enhanced mechanics, and other refinements that build on the success of the original.
Hunt the Yōtei Six Your Way

Ghost of Yōtei allows you to pursue the Yōtei Six in any order you choose, shaping your own path of revenge. Sucker Punch detailed the game’s features in a PlayStation Blog post on April 23, offering more depth on Atsu’s quest and its progression.
According to the post, the game introduces evolved open-world exploration, giving players greater freedom and variety than in Ghost of Tsushima. Besides hunting the outlaws, players can engage in a range of activities across Ezo. The post states, "Atsu can also track other dangerous targets for bounties, or seek out weapon sensei to master new skills."
While exploring, series fans will recognize returning activities from the previous title, including the beloved Guiding Wind navigation feature. A new campfire-building mechanic also lets players rest anywhere in the open world. Emphasizing player freedom across Ezo is a central goal for the developers, who plan to reveal more details in the coming months.
