Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Mobile RPG Beta Test Announced
Netmarble's upcoming mobile RPG, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, has unveiled a new gameplay trailer and details about its closed beta test. This action-adventure game, set during the show's fourth season, promises engaging combat and a rich narrative experience.
The closed beta, running from January 16th to 22nd, 2025, in the US, Canada, and select European regions, will offer fans early access before the full release later this year. Players can register via the game's official website.
Featuring class-based progression with "fully manual" controls, Kingsroad offers an original storyline centered around a new character, the heir to House Tyrell in the North. Popular characters like Jon Snow, Jaime Lannister, and even Drogon are confirmed to appear. The game's developers, known for titles like Marvel Future Fight and Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, promise "raw, aggressive, and destructive" combat.
The recently released trailer showcases the game's features, highlighting the character customization and dynamic combat system. The game's narrative draws inspiration from the rich lore and characters created by George R.R. Martin and the HBO series. It offers a compelling experience for fans eagerly awaiting the next installment in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series, The Winds of Winter. With other projects like A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and House of the Dragon season 3 also in the works, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad provides a welcome addition to the Game of Thrones universe for fans.
