Fuecoco Headlines the First March Community Day
Pokémon GO has confirmed that Fuecoco will be the featured Pokémon for the first Community Day in March 2025, announced on February 11th.
The Fire Croc Pokémon, Fuecoco, will appear frequently on the map on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. Its Shiny rate will also be significantly boosted for the event.
Evolved from Crocalor, Skeledirge will be able to learn the powerful Charged Attack, Blast Burn, if its evolution is completed up to one week after the event ends. Skeledirge can also learn the Charged Attack Torch Song at any time, without restriction.
A Special Background Timed Research will be available, rewarding trainers with a Fuecoco encounter that has a unique Seasonal Special Background. Completing these Timed Research tasks further increases your chance of encountering a Shiny Fuecoco. This research must be completed by March 15, 2025, at 10:00 PM local time.
For $2.00, trainers can also purchase an exclusive Community Day Special Research ticket. In addition to standard rewards like a Battle Pass and Rare Candies, this ticket grants three Fuecoco encounters, each with the Seasonal Special Background. Players can also gift this ticket to any friend who is a Great Friend or higher.
Pokémon GO Announces Community Day Schedule Through May
Alongside revealing Fuecoco, Pokémon GO has announced the full schedule of Community Day events running from March through May 2025.
According to the February 10th announcement, five weekend Community Days are planned:

Community Day Classic events revisit past featured Pokémon, such as Ralts from August 2019, which returned in January 2025. This gives trainers another chance to participate in popular past events. The other dates will feature brand-new Pokémon, though their identities have not yet been revealed.

Choosing Between Candela and Arlo
Coinciding with the debut of Dhelmise, the Beloved Buddies event introduces a special Timed Research. This research presents trainers with a choice between two unique paths, each centered on a familiar character: Candela or Arlo.
The first path focuses on strengthening your bond with your Buddy Pokémon and connecting with Candela, the leader of Team Valor. The second path emphasizes catching Pokémon and battling Arlo, a leader of Team GO Rocket. While both paths in this free research are valid, they offer different rewards.
All trainers begin with a set of introductory tasks, rewarding Ultra Balls and encounters with Remoraid and Mantine. After completing these, you must choose your permanent path to unlock its specific rewards.
Choosing Candela's path rewards Poffins, Stardust, and Ultra Balls, along with encounters with three specific Pokémon:

⚫︎ Shellder
⚫︎ Rapidash
The Arlo path offers similar item rewards but substitutes a Poffin for a Rocket Radar (vital for finding Team GO Rocket leaders). It also features a different set of Pokémon encounters:

⚫︎ Scizor
