Freedom Wars Remastered offers numerous ways to customize your loadout. While weapons and Thrones are less frequently swapped, Combat Items—consumable resources with diverse uses—require strategic management. You'll occasionally gain Combat Items during operations, but the quantities are often insufficient for subsequent missions. Initially, you're limited to equipping a single Combat Item. Let's address both these issues.
How To Equip More Combat Items In Freedom Wars Remastered
Increasing your Combat Item capacity requires acquiring specific Entitlements. In your cell, interact with the Window On Liberty, select "Claim Entitlements," then navigate to the Equipment section. Tab to the right to find the One-Item Permit. Subsequent permits, allowing up to four equipped items, are located below.
These permits are readily obtainable; you'll likely unlock all four by CODE level 3. Each permit unlocks after purchasing the previous one. Equipping a Combat Item uses your entire stack of that item at the operation's start. For example, equipping a Frag Grenade will consume your entire Frag Grenade supply.
Your Accessory slot can also equip one Combat Item, used at your discretion.
Where To Get More Combat Items In Freedom Wars Remastered
After progressing through the early missions, you'll access The Warren hub. Within The Warren, on the upper level's right side, you'll find Zakka's store. Besides weapons, Zakka sells items under "Buy Items," categorized as Munitions and Medical Supplies:
- Munitions: Items that directly inflict damage.
- Medical Supplies: Items for healing, ailment removal, or ammunition replenishment.
Combat Items are purchased individually, with bulk purchases costing significant Entitlement Points. Donating excess resources is advisable if you frequently require large quantities of Medkits. While operations sometimes reward Combat Items, this isn't a reliable farming method due to the time investment and potential consumption exceeding gains.
