Secure a Free Bow Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, leaving Henry ill-equipped. Fortunately, acquiring a free Dogwood Village Bow early on is possible. This guide will show you how.
After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves either working for a blacksmith or miller. Regardless of your chosen path, the blacksmith's location conveniently marks the bow's whereabouts on your map. This makes acquiring the bow a simple side trip, even if you choose the miller's path.
The blacksmith's forge is located in Tachov, north of Troskowitz. Travel west from Troskowitz, following the path north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. A small training area is concealed within this cluster.
You'll find a target with arrows – collect these for free ammunition. To the right of the target, leaning against a tree trunk, is the Dogwood Village Bow. You can also gather nearby brews and mushrooms.
Alternative Acquisition:
While purchasable from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, buying the Dogwood Village Bow isn't cost-effective compared to obtaining it for free. Vitek offers superior weapons, but the free bow provides a valuable ranged option early in the game. Consider using alchemy to generate income for later purchases.
Regardless of your chosen weapon acquisition method, having a ranged option significantly enhances combat, particularly for players who prefer ranged combat over melee. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's combat retains similarities to its predecessor.
After acquiring the bow, continue your questline by either working as a blacksmith (remember to save after forging a sword) or proceeding to the miller.
