Epic Games has officially unveiled the new Battle Pass skins for Fortnite’s upcoming season, generating excitement among fans worldwide.

Breaking from tradition, this season drops the codename in favor of an official title: Wanted. The theme centers around high-stakes heists, complete with armed antagonists, gold-laden vehicles, and dramatic bank vault explosions—everything you'd expect from a cinematic robbery gone wild.
The season kicks off on February 21 and features a major collaboration with the iconic fighting franchise Mortal Kombat. This crossover brings Sub-Zero into the Battle Pass, blending the intense martial arts energy of Mortal Kombat with Fortnite’s evolving narrative. The heist storyline will also influence the design and storytelling of the new skins.
This collaboration coincides with the promotional rollout of Mortal Kombat 2, the highly anticipated new film starring Karl Urban as Johnny Cage and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, further deepening the synergy between the two franchises.
All Battle Pass skins can be purchased using V-Bucks, Fortnite’s premium currency, with each skin priced at 1,500 V-Bucks—consistent with previous seasons.

Confirmed returning items include the Flare Gun, C4, and the Diplomat turret. Other weapons are still under wraps, but community speculation is running wild.
Looking back at Chapter 4 Season 4—a prior heist-themed season—players are hopeful that weapons like the EMP Grenade, classic SMGs, Tommy Gun, and even the Grappler might make a comeback. However, these remain unconfirmed rumors at this stage.
One of the most talked-about additions is Smart Building, a refined mechanic that predicts the structure you want to build based on your aim direction—streamlining construction during heated combat situations.
In line with the heist motif, gameplay mechanics are getting a fresh twist. Traditional keycard systems are being replaced by vault breaches, requiring players to use Meltanite—Fortnite’s thermite-like substance—to blast open secure vaults and access exclusive rewards. It's a bold evolution that promises more dynamic and strategic gameplay throughout the season.
