Fortnite Hunters brings a wealth of content to kick off the launch of Chapter 6, including an all-new map unique to the chapter, featuring a variety of grand locations, additional movement mechanics, and demonic bosses to battle. Alongside these map changes, players can get their hands on a wide arsenal of weaponry.
From the Fury Assault Rifle to the Oni Shotgun, this season's weapons offer plenty of diversity. While these are excellent for ranged combat, players looking to get up close and personal may find the Typhoon Blade to be a perfect choice. Here’s how to get the Typhoon Blade in Fortnite.
Updated on January 15, 2025, by Nathan Round: The Typhoon Blade has quickly become one of the go-to weapons for both gaining a mobility boost and excelling in close-quarters combat. This guide has been updated to include guaranteed methods for acquiring the Typhoon Blade, providing a helpful boost for players struggling to find the item.
How To Get The Typhoon Blade
Looting Typhoon Blade Stands
The most reliable way to acquire the Typhoon Blade is by looting it from a Typhoon Blade Stand. These stands are located at designated spawn points around the island, though they do not spawn every time. Some notable locations to check include:
- Flooded Frogs
- Magic Mosses
- Lost Lake
- Nightshift Forest
- Shogun's Solitude
To obtain the weapon, simply locate a stand and press the Interact Button.
Chests & Floor Loot
For those avoiding contested POIs, the Typhoon Blade can also be found in Chests and as floor loot. This method relies on luck but ensures players can still find the weapon even if the stands are already looted.
Defeating Demon Warriors
Another way to obtain a Typhoon Blade is by defeating a Demon Warrior. These enemies spawn at active portals around the map, and while defeating them offers a chance to drop the blade if they're wielding one, they can also carry Oni Masks.
Purchase From Kendo
For a guaranteed method, players can purchase the Typhoon Blade from Kendo using Gold Bars. Kendo is located northeast of Nightshift Forest, but you must first complete all five stages of his Melee Expertise Quests to unlock this option.
Defeating Shogun X (Mythic Only)
To get the Mythic version of the Typhoon Blade, players need to defeat Shogun X at Shogun's Arena.
How To Use The Typhoon Blade
The Typhoon Blade is not just a melee weapon but also a mobility tool, offering several abilities at the cost of durability. Once its durability is exhausted, the blade will be lost.
Here's a breakdown of the Typhoon Blade's abilities:
- Passive Ability: Increases sprint speed and reduces stamina consumption while equipped.
- Attack: Press the Shoot Button to perform a slash attack, dealing 30 damage per hit. Chain attacks for a combo, with the final hit dealing 50 damage. Use in midair for a downward attack that nullifies fall damage.
- Cyclone Slash: Press the Aim Button for a heavy attack, dealing 90 damage and knocking enemies back. This goes into a 10-second cooldown after use.
- Wind Leap: Press the Jump Button during a sprint to leap into the air, nullifying fall damage.
- Air Dash: Press the Jump Button in midair to dash forward, also nullifying fall damage.
