Gaijin Entertainment has announced the upcoming "Firebirds" update for War Thunder, arriving in early November. This major update boasts a fleet of new aircraft, ground vehicles, and warships.
New Aircraft Soaring into War Thunder
Get ready to pilot some iconic aircraft! The update introduces the stealthy American F-117A Nighthawk, the powerful Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber, and the formidable F-15E Strike Eagle, among others.
The F-117A Nighthawk marks a first for War Thunder: a stealth aircraft. Its unique design, employing radar-absorbing materials and angles designed to deflect radar waves, made it a near-invisible threat in real-life conflicts like Operation Desert Storm, completing over 1,200 sorties without loss.
The F-15E Strike Eagle is all about firepower. This upgraded F-15 variant boasts a 50% larger payload capacity and a ground target detection radar. Expect to unleash a devastating arsenal, including AGM-65 Maverick missiles, laser-guided bombs, JDAMs, and even 20 GBU-39 satellite-guided bombs in a single drop.
Beyond the Skies: Ground and Naval Additions
The "Firebirds" update isn't just about air power. New ground vehicles include the agile British FV107 Scimitar light tank. On the naval side, players can command the French battleship Dunkerque.
Aces High Season Continues
The current "Aces High" season continues to offer unique vehicles, trophies, and rewards for completing the season and Battle Pass. Expect to unlock aircraft such as the Bf 109 G-14, F2G-1, and La-11, along with powerful platoons like the T54E2 and G6, and ships including the HMS Orion and USS Billfish.
