Pocket Gamer recently discovered Dynabytes' Fantasma at Gamescom Latam – a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game. The game's recent update adds Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese language support, with German, Italian, and Spanish planned for release in the coming months.
Fantasma challenges players to hunt and battle mischievous creatures using portable electromagnetic fields as bait. Combat unfolds in augmented reality, requiring players to maneuver their phones to keep the Fantasma in view while tapping the screen to attack. Defeated creatures are then captured in special bottles.
Fantasma's creatures appear based on real-world location, encouraging exploration. Players can also deploy sensors to expand their search radius and team up with others for cooperative gameplay.
Fantasma is a free-to-play game (with in-app purchases) available on the App Store and Google Play. Download it now via the links below.
