Bandai Namco has started sending out emails to verify participation in the closed testing of Elden Ring Nightreign, scheduled from February 14 to 17, 2025. These lucky players will be among the first to dive into this highly anticipated game, which promises a thrilling three-person cooperative mode.
However, with the immense popularity of Nightreign, scammers are taking advantage by circulating fake testing invitations. Some players have reported receiving emails that mimic official notifications from Bandai Namco, seemingly inviting them to participate in the testing phase. These fraudulent emails include links to counterfeit websites designed to look like Steam's official site.

These scammers trick players into logging into these fake resources, resulting in the loss of account access. In some instances, victims have even received these deceptive messages from their own friends. Fortunately, some affected players were able to recover their accounts by reaching out to Steam support.
It's crucial to exercise caution with any links you receive and to verify the authenticity of the sources. If in doubt, stick to official channels and avoid clicking on suspicious links.
In a notable change for Elden Ring: Nightreign, players will no longer have the option to leave messages within the game. Project director Junya Ishizaki explained this decision in an interview, stating that due to the approximately forty-minute duration of gaming sessions, players wouldn't have sufficient time to leave or check messages.
Since the sessions are roughly forty minutes long, we've disabled the messaging feature to ensure players can fully engage with the game without distractions.
