EA Sports UFC 5 receives a significant update on January 9th, 1 PM ET, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This patch (1.18) introduces undefeated fighter Azamat Murzakanov and addresses several bugs.
The update demonstrates EA Vancouver's continued commitment to EA Sports UFC 5, following player feedback regarding the initial roster. Since launch in October 2023, the game has achieved 98% parity with the current UFC top ten rankings through consistent content additions.
This January update adds Murzakanov to the Light Heavyweight division, boasting impressive stats: 97 Power Punch, 95 Accuracy, and 94 Ground Striking. In addition to Murzakanov, three new fighter alter egos are included, though their identities remain undisclosed.
Minor bug fixes accompany the new content. A key gameplay adjustment reduces the muscle modifier's stamina cost from x3.125 to 2.5. The patch also corrects translation errors in some languages and resolves a Ranked Championship Stand and Bang issue, among other fixes.
Furthermore, EA Sports UFC 5 joins the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tier (via EA Play) on January 14th, alongside other titles.
