The Yu-Gi-Oh! community bridges divides of generation, gender, and even nationality. Now it appears to have crossed into the world of celebrity as well! Baron Bloodthorne, the latest Shadow Duelist in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, was revealed to be none other than famous actor Dylan Sprouse during yesterday's Shadow Duelist tournament finale.
Dylan and his twin brother Cole are best known for starring in the Suite Life series of sitcoms on Disney Channel. Since then, both have pursued separate careers, and for Dylan Sprouse, his role as Baron Bloodthorne fits right in.
Similar to his voice performance as the elven outcast Alith Anaar in Total War: Warhammer II, Dylan Sprouse presented a serious challenge to duelists in the Shadow Duelist series. Sprouse joins a lineup of other celebrities who have worn masks and taken on aliases to compete against tournament winners.

The Masked Reveal
Previous Shadow Duelists included WWE superstar Xavier Woods and One Direction's Zayn Malik, each sporting unique mask designs. The tournament victor not only earned the honor of unmasking Sprouse (as Baron Bloodthorne) but also received the mask as a trophy, complete with the actor's autograph.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel requires little introduction as one of the popular mobile and console adaptations of the world-famous trading card game. The Shadow Duelist series has become a fan-favorite feature of this multiplatform card battler, generating significant attention for good reason.
