New Story Trailer and Large-Scale Beta Weekend Announced
Dune: Awakening is gearing up for its launch with an eagerly anticipated large-scale beta weekend. Funcom announced on their official website on April 25 that they are dedicating a weekend to a global beta test of Dune: Awakening. They also unveiled a new trailer showcasing some of the game's cinematic cutscenes and story snippets.
The beta test is designed to welcome a significant number of new players and, unlike previous closed betas, will not be bound by an NDA. This means players can freely share their experiences and even stream them online. The official post states, "With access to the first 20 hours of the game and most of Act 1 of the story, you will get a taste of both spice and story."
