A free demo for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's spin-off, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, launches today! Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam at 7am Pacific / 10am Eastern / 3pm UK time.
RGG Studio made the announcement via X/Twitter. The full game releases February 21st, also on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but these platforms won't receive the demo.
While RGG Studio hasn't confirmed save transfer, the demo's content suggests progress won't carry over. It offers access to Honolulu and Madlantis areas, and combat scenarios unavailable early in the main game.
The demo lets players:
- Freely explore parts of Honolulu and Madlantis.
- Utilize the Mad Dog and Sea Dog fighting styles.
- Battle powerful bounty enemies.
- Engage in four ship and deck battles in the Pirates' Coliseum.
- Experiment with new customization options.
- Enjoy karaoke with three selectable songs.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii follows Goro Majima's amnesiac pirate adventure in Hawaii. An October Xbox Partner Showcase trailer showcased ship combat reminiscent of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and the return of Taiga Saejima, hinting at stronger ties to the main series.
Expected playtime is 15-18 hours, significantly longer than Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. Players can unlock a Kiryu Kazuma costume for Majima by subscribing to email notifications or a Sega rewards program.
