Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the game's end-of-service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.
The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and all in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months remaining to enjoy the game before the servers are permanently closed.
A Look Back at Disney Mirrorverse
Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse offered players the chance to battle alongside reimagined Disney and Pixar heroes. While initially met with enthusiasm, the game's extended beta period and inconsistent updates contributed to player attrition. Kabam recommends players focus on completing the remaining storyline before the game's closure.
Despite its potential, Disney Mirrorverse's challenging shard collection system, requiring significant investment for character maximization, hindered its long-term success. However, the game's creative and visually stunning character designs remain a highlight.
The timing of the EOS announcement, following a recent content update including Cinderella as a new playable character, has surprised many players. This isn't Kabam's first abrupt game shutdown; Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off also faced premature closures.
