Dogs are truly the best companions in video games, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is no exception. Mutt, Henry's loyal dog, goes missing early in the story, but finding him is crucial. Here's a detailed guide on how to locate Mutt in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Mutt Location
Locating Mutt involves a side quest, but I'll cut to the chase. You can find Mutt near a wolf cave southwest of the Nomads’ Camp and just east of the river's bathing spot. Here's a screenshot to help you pinpoint his location:
The most straightforward route is to fast travel to the Nomads’ Camp, then head southwest into the forest. This path will likely lead you directly above the cave. As you get closer, listen for Mutt's whines. Follow the sound to a clearing near the cave where you'll find Mutt surrounded by wolves.
Approaching the area will trigger a cutscene introducing you to Mutt and the wolves, along with a tutorial on how to command Mutt in combat. You have the option to either fight the wolves or flee. Since wolves and wild animals are relatively easy to defeat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, engaging them in battle can be a good way to hone your skills.
Once you've dealt with the wolves, Mutt will be at your command. You can interact with him by holding L1 and looking at him, allowing you to feed him or send him back to your home.
Finding Mutt During the Invaders Side Quest
It's worth noting that you might encounter the wolf cave during the Invaders side quest if you choose to interact with the Cumans. After getting drunk with them, Henry follows Vasko up a hill to fetch more liquor, leading directly to the cave. This triggers the cutscene with Mutt and the wolves, but you'll have to manage the situation while intoxicated.
I strongly recommend rescuing Mutt during the day before proceeding with the Invaders quest. Dealing with wolves while drunk and in the dark is challenging, and attempting to flee could result in a fatal fall due to poor visibility.
That's how you find Mutt in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. For more tips and information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
