Diablo IV Season 5 Leaked: New Consumables and Infernal Hordes Mode Unveiled!
Exciting news for Diablo IV players! Season 5 is on the horizon, and data mined from the recently opened Public Test Realm (PTR) reveals significant additions, particularly four new consumables exclusive to the upcoming Infernal Hordes endgame mode.
Consumables in Diablo IV provide temporary buffs or replenish resources. Currently, these include healing potions, elixirs (offering effects like increased armor), and incense (boosting max life or elemental resistance). These are acquired through monster slaying, chest looting, crest opening, or merchant purchases.
Season 5 expands this system with four intriguing new consumables:
- Antipathy: A rare anointment enhancing resistance.
- Blackblood: A common anointment boosting a random core stat.
- Vitriol: A magical anointment increasing damage over time.
- Triune Anointment Cache: A new cache containing anointments, rare gear, and crafting materials.
Importantly, recipes for these anointments have been discovered, suggesting crafting will be involved.
The new consumables are specifically tied to the Infernal Hordes mode—a challenging, roguelite-style endgame experience. Players will face relentless enemy waves (90 seconds per wave), choosing from three modifiers after each successful wave to increase difficulty and rewards. Abyssal Scrolls, similar to Helltide's Profane Mindcage Elixir, will further ramp up the challenge.
The PTR remains open until July 2nd, leaving many details about these new consumables shrouded in mystery. Players eagerly await further information on acquisition methods, usage costs, and the specific crafting materials required for the anointments. Stay tuned for updates!
