Destiny Child is back! Originally launched in 2016 and archived in September 2023, this popular game is getting a reboot thanks to Com2uS, taking over development from ShiftUp.
A Fresh Start?
Com2uS and ShiftUp have partnered to create a brand-new Destiny Child experience – an idle RPG! Development is spearheaded by Com2uS's Tiki Taka Studio, known for titles like the tactical RPG, Arcana Tactics. This new iteration will retain the beloved 2D character art and emotional core of the original, but with entirely new gameplay mechanics.
Remember the Memorial?
The original Destiny Child captivated players with its charming characters and real-time battles. Following its closure after nearly seven years, ShiftUp released a memorial version, allowing players to revisit the game's stunning artwork.
While not fully functional, the memorial app lets you relive the experience by viewing character illustrations and reminiscing about your collection. Access requires verification using your pre-shutdown account data. So, only original players can access this nostalgic trip down memory lane, showcasing the characters and classes, even if battles are unavailable. Download it from the Google Play Store and enjoy the artwork until the new game launches.
