If you're a fan of cooperative shooters, you've almost certainly heard of (or played) Deep Rock Galactic. Now, Ghost Ship Games has introduced a mobile spin-off: Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor.
You're On Your Own This Time
Gone are the days of four dwarves shouting in dark tunnels. In Survivor, you're a lone miner stranded on Planet Hoxxes. You'll battle endless swarms with just your weapons, your wits, and your trusty robot companion, BOSCO.
Set on Hoxxes IV's lethal surface, the game blends mining with reverse bullet hell action. Run, dodge, and dig while your gun auto-fires at the encroaching horde. Plow through alien waves and blast into cave walls to collect valuable ores.
When your Drop Pod crashes into the darkness, the mission starts. Each run has specific objectives issued by the demanding Company. Complete them before time expires and fight your way to the extraction point.
Choose from four distinct classes, each with unique gear and tactics. Use their skills to explore diverse biomes teeming with deadly Glyphids and hidden wealth. The deeper you go, the fiercer the foes and the greater the rewards.
It's visually and mechanically true to Deep Rock, but from a completely new angle. The shift to a top-down perspective changes how you navigate Hoxxes's caves. See for yourself in the trailer below.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor Is a Solo Auto-Shooter
It's one dwarf, an endlessly firing gun, and a planet of relentless bugs. Series veterans will recognize familiar touches, from weapon designs to classic voice lines. Newcomers will quickly understand why this world of rugged dwarves and luminous minerals won so many hearts.
A free trial is available, with the full version priced at $9.99. Find it on the Google Play Store. Also, don't miss our next story on the Pikmin Bloom and Pikmin 4 collaboration.
