Valve's back from their New Year break, and the first Deadlock patch of 2025 is a surprisingly small one. Following the announcement of a shift away from bi-weekly updates, many anticipated a substantial patch. However, this initial update focuses solely on balance adjustments.
Yamato received a minor nerf, impacting damage scaling and attack speed bonus from Shadow Transformation. Further tweaks reduced the effectiveness of Frenzy, Berserker, and Restorative Shot, while Alchemical Fire underwent a slight rework.

A larger, more comprehensive patch is anticipated, though the timing remains uncertain. Predicting the release date at this stage is difficult.
It's noteworthy that Deadlock's player count has recently decreased. While the current player base (7,000–19,000) is respectable for a game still in deep beta, the drop might be attributed to the popularity of competing titles like Marvel Rivals. Remember, Valve hasn't yet revealed any release dates or monetization plans for Deadlock.
